?? Accounts Payable Specialist - Temp to Hire
Location: Sacramento (in office)
Pay: $25-$27 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time | Onsite/Hybrid (based on client)
About the Role:
Ledgent Finance & Accounting is partnering with a valued client to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong invoice processing and reconciliation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume AP including coding, matching, and entering invoices
Perform 3-way match for PO-related invoices
Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and vendor payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Assist with month-end close (AP accruals, reconciliations, reporting)
Maintain accurate and organized AP files and documentation
Collaborate with purchasing, project managers, and vendors to ensure timely approvals
Support additional accounting tasks as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of accounts payable experience
Strong knowledge of invoice processing, PO matching, and AP workflows
Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables a plus)
Experience with QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Sage, or similar ERP systems
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Experience:
Exposure to construction, manufacturing, or multi-entity environments
Familiarity with job costing or inventory-related AP (optional)
